Looking for a program.

I don't know if this should be in the art forum or here, but basically what I was wondering is what would be a good program thats sort of begginer friendly and futureproof if I wanted to render in 3d, and sort of do some things simular to what adobe photoshop is capable of? Is there such thing as a reputable program like that or would I need to buy a 3d rendering program and 2d rendering program seperately, if so which ones or the best/good? Im really a newbie to all this but say if I were to make a game and I wanted to use some of the renders I made in the 3d rendering program would I be able to, or is that a different program i'm looking for. I know this is kind of confusing but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
