looking for ram

I don't know as much about RAM overclocking and latencies, but I'd go with the first one as it's still XMS and awesome RAM, the second one is $191 and that's a lot for only 512 not even dual channel.
 
ok if you are going to be overclocking your ram both a great, if you are not, u dont need to buy that stuff...as it is only intended for overclockers.
 
No, they are not just for overclocking. The high-quality, performance RAM is good for overclocking, yes, but not made strictly for it. Performance RAM, like the Corsair XMS series, is much faster than regular, value RAM.

As for the threadstarter, I just bought myself this for one of my computers and these babies are doing perfectly. I'm not overclocking them, so I'm not sure how they'll work under an overclocking load, but so far they haven't let me down.
