Looks like there maybe an update tonight. There are quite a few jaggies in the steam bandwidth activity. This usually means an update will take place tonight. I believe it wont have anything to do with HL2 but rather Steam itself. So far the bandwidth hasnt lied.
 
Yea, every last preload/update that happened, there was a similar pattern on the chart. Maybe it has to do with servers temporarily going down when new data is transferred to them. I guess that we'll just have to wait and see!

woah...you're not that far away. yea, an update would be cool. so would a Gold announcement.

I believe when he says that, he means besides the usual bandwidth usage...

But I don't think there will be another update.. Not tonight...

the discrepency could be from anything i wouldent speculate anything from it
 
Ha i was right! LoL it wasnt what we wanted but at least an update.
 
new hardware survey...what the hell for?
looks to me like we got another delay in the works
there has to be some reason for the new survey, other than HL2. like c'mon now.
 
yer, i noticed some lag in CS about 1:30am (GMT) wondered what it was......maybe something to do with this? or just lag lol

EDIT: maybe they need to check on the current state of PC hardware, see if it has changed since the last one, and if people are using the latest 6800s and x800s of this world. Or maybe it concerns the RC....and it not working on a certain proc or summat, and theyre trying to see what % of peeps have that set up?? :dozey:

im glad about the new survey, loads of people have upgraded their systems since the last one. I have and loads of people have from looking at the hardware forum.
