Idk what to do! I had a full thick head of hair just 2 years ago, but slowly and surely my hairline has started to recede. It's happening a bit early in my life too, I'm only 22!!!! I'm the kind of person that looks good only if his hair looks good, and lately, I've been looking like dog shit. Anyone know what the best way is to regrow hair or get your old hairline back? And please dont say rogaine, that stuff is crap. Anyone else suffering from baldness?

Let your hair go all the way bald and then pay to have them stick the hair on the rear of your head on the front.

Heh.

I wonder if I'm losing my hair. It doesn't seem like it, but I am a tiny bit paranoid that my widows peak is too severe. Not sure if it's been changing or not.

Well, you might want to consult a dermatologist about that, to be sure. It may have to do with hormonal imbalances or stress.

Ask your dad / grand father about their hair...or look at them.

Here is some depressing reading for you - alopecia

Arange with your doctor to get testosterone, growth hormone and steroid injections.
Or get them from the black market...the local gym is probably your best choice.

Thing about my family is baldness skips a generation, it's weird, but it's true. I'm the generation with the full head of hair (even the oldest people (my dads elders) have thick hair). It's pretty sweet. It's also sweet that my family has amazing beards too, nice and thick not those gross pube beards. They don't start coming in till like I'm 25 though (with everyone in my family). Everyone in my dads side gets 5 o clock shadows by like 1pm. I can't wait.

Long story short, I'm not going bald so I'm relieved :D

murderer!

After the OP reads this that is.

It's actually your mother's father that you want to be looking at. If he's bald, you'll most likely be bald. Looking at my grandfather, I can tell that not even my thick head of hair will save me from my baldness.

Edit: Lol, there's an ad for a hair growth product at the bottom of the page.

A bald friend of mine would probably tell you, "Shave your hair off and get your life straight."

If you're really worried about it look into plugs.

hahaha this thread made me feel better. my mothers father wasnt bald, but his hair did recede and thinned out. he still had a pretty full head of hair though. ill check into this plugs thing. sounds expensive. :|

Look at your grandfather on your mother's side.

Best possible prediction of how the genetics will affect you.

[mine has a full head of hair in his 60's.]

p.s., try cutting back on masturbating

Eh, just shave it off or make it a really close buzz. It looks fine on Andre Agassi, so it should look fine for you. Plugs are too expensive anyways.

Yeah I'm starting to get a receding hairline too and it started when I was about 21-22 (almost 24). If I keep my hair short or it gets fairly long it's not very noticeable. I started brushing my hair more and it seems to have stemmed the tide of recession. The cause (according to the hair people of the world) is an increase in a type of testosterone. I guess you could also try rogaine but I'm not sure how effective it is ... or if you want to spend the money on it.

Personally I plan to keep my hair short until the point that it becomes noticeable even in that situation. If that day comes, I'll just shave my head or, hopefully, be old enough to accept it... or willing to throw away constant money on rogaine or hair.. transplants or whatever. I wouldn't recommend going the full shave look unless you're black... and being black I wouldn't do it. It's always weird seeing those guys that razor their heads... it's just so... bright.

Both my grandfathers have a lot of hair, both my grandmothers had a lot of hair, all of my aunts and uncles have a lot of hair, all of my cousins in their mid-to-late thirties have a lot of hair, and my mum has a lot of hair. My dad is as bald as... a very bald man. He had very thin hair when he was younger where as my hair is pretty thick. I think I'll be OK. I hope so anyway :x

I'm also balding and I'm only 21. I blame it on western civilization and western eating habits tbh.

But anyway, this is pretty recent with me, and I've just been learning to deal with it. There isn't much that I can do, unless I'm willing to spend a couple of thousand euros on hair transplant and shit..which I'm not.

I'm just keeping my hair as short as possible, in oposite to before, when I kept it as long as I could lol.. which now I know was a big mistake..

But anyway..I guess I kind of like having my hair very short. It certainly gives me much less trouble than before..

I've kept a buzz cut for nearly my teenage and adult life, with exceptions of the occasional month or two length of time I wouldn't cut it.

I guess I'll be doing that from now on. Although I do miss my great curly hair :(

Uhh what? That will do the exact opposite.

Clearly the only solution is a full pube transplantation.

Wtf is that thing...

Does that have adjustable height?

Hmm actually looking at it I'm assuming it's just a razor. Would be awesome if it had an buzz cutter attachment where you could do adjustable height buzz cuts. I've been looking all around for something that would make it easier for me to do my haircuts.

Their website has the most god awful difficult to read font in the world.

Your search is over.

What are the brand names of those things?

That one you posted looks pretty interesting Tarkus. The biggest difficulty I have is getting around the ears and other spots and making sure everything is gone.

I wasn't pointing out a particular brand... So I have no Idea. Pretty much any hair trimmer will do.

It's a Philips QC5170. It's not particularly easy trimming around the ears with it, but the revolving head is very useful for the back of the head.

Yeah that's a bitch to get with the ancient thing I've been using all these years to cut my hair with... getting all the proper angles to not leave little tufts that I cannot see.

I've always dreamed of a rounded shaving device with adjustable depth that made easy work of getting a perfectly even buzz cut all around the head using motions just like running your hand over the curvature of your scalp.

You guys must suck at cutting your hair. I just go with the lowest setting, and keep going till it's even. Easy as hell.

Well I think the Philips is pretty close to that. I think it does a pretty good job, and it sells for cheap.

The thing I have is size enough to shear alpacas. :(

I've found it a real bitch to use.

I just use a standard Wahl clipper set. Cuts well, isn't loud or overly hot. The things are designed to last forever too and it was like $40.
