Lost Coast

Just playing around with Lost Coast. OMG, what wonderful and stunning graphics! The sand, the water, the lights. They say Half-Life 2 is an old-gen game. So what?

too bad ep1 failed to use the awesome shaders of lost coast..

Thank god it didn't. If EP1 had had the same graphics it would have run at 2 frames per second on my PC.

Lost Coast was cool. I liked pretty much everything about it, even if I glitched it the first time I beat it and died in the fall back down to the guy.

Episode One was running fine on my system. I hope the frame rate for Episode Two will be acceptable.

Wait, what? You mean like the cool refractive windows and normal-mapped chandelier-things and things?
Those weren't in Ep1?

For me Ep.1 doesn't run past a certain point, which is when I just finished the zombie parking garage thing. The graphics weren't a great improvement over HL2 in ep.1 but lsot coast won't load for me so I don't really know what to say here..

I was surprised at EP1, my system can't run anything, yet it can run EP1 on full everything, except model detail at medium. I can run HDR with 0 FPS drop, yet in Lost Coast the option to turn on HDR is greyed out... I don't understand..

if the game isnt running in dx9 then it wont have the hdr option. also the only real addition to ep1 was the hdr
