Lost "Jump"

Am new here, not sure if anyone can help. When i got to "benefactors", for some reason, when i press the space bar, i can't jump, hence, I cannot proceed in the game, am stuck where i am. Changed the jump to another key, but to no avail, anyone run across this?

It's a recognised bug that rarely occurs, but some people get it, it's really unfortunate. The solution is to restart that level, by going to the chapter screen. Or maybe an earlier save (although i can't guarantee it). Hope that helps. Not long to go now

i restarted that level 3 or 4 times, is there a patch???...
this is wayyyyy frustrating

Do not press the jump button while you are riding in a pod, that's what causes the bug.
