With the farming industry the way it is my boss can't afford me anymore....
Now to find a new one. Staples is looking for employees so I'm considering applying there....another job at a local gas station, and maybe Dick's...still looking at my options.
Ah well.

dont settle ..look for a job that has a future ..or you'll find yourself drifting from one job to the next

good luck, being unemployed is tough

QFT.

Job hoarding bastards they are..

I've been unemployed since I got back from Uni mid-May and I've been actively searching for weeks.. hardley worth it since I'm only gonna be here another month.. sigh.

I'll be looking for jobs up in Lincs after that.. need to fund my lifestyle.

Yeah, i need a job so i can pay to get the bus when i go to college, no job by september = no college or a 24 mile walk twice a day :(

try workplacement or intership ..it's a great way to get your feet in the door ..a friend of mine started internship at Canada's largest cable provider and every summer they invited him back ..the second summer they paid him and after he graduated highschool they offered him a full time job at a really good wage rate for his age/experience ..he left the company 7 years later as a manager for his own section making $60 k a year ..pretty good for someone with just a high school education

Unpaid anything isn't an option. I'm in roughly £2600 of debt in total. But only £600 of that is gaining interest. Ideally I'd like to pay all of that off and have enough to fund early days in Lincoln and perhaps make an impact on my overdraft.

I'm presently going into my 2nd year of University. I have plenty of workplace experience in office work, retail/shopfloor work, tech support experience, networking experience. Experience isn't a problem - the problem IS is that at the moment, no where is interested in hiring students at all (partly because of the bad reputation the local university's students have and partly because they're looking to train people up for longer term positions)

I'm gonna look for work up in Lincoln when I return there, but I need money to survive/pay the bills for the first few weeks up there until my loans come in.

Sorry to hear that you lost your job. I wish you the best on getting a job that you like!

I do, I have two interest free overdrafts, both maxed out.

:p

I spend about £1000 a term on booze, clothes, fines, 'other things', and general going out. I love my lifestyle :p

Same as my first year, except no clothes or fines.

Damn lazy history students!

*kirovman shakes fist vigourously.

Yeah but my 8 hours a week were taxing!!

Yea well, I was caught trying to break into the laundrette with a friend at 3AM, since I'd left my bed stuff in the dryers there ..

I lost a library book

Suprisingly had no encounters with the police :D only student halls security guards hahaahaha

Security guards? The only security guards we ever had were bouncers. Who hate students.

Get a job in the lincoln library badger.....then you can work with me :O

Library jobs in the US suck, they don't have to pay you minimum wage until you've worked there 2 years.

You work at Lincoln library? Haha.. lush mate

Yeah, used to be a saturday only thing, then I pissed off to uni and they let me work whenever I have holidays. It's a good deal - saves me having to go through temping agencies, the work is a piece of piss and pays quite well.

All hail the library! There are some real ****ing goons that come in though :x

Haha. Well I'll be back in Lincs very shortly, might have to pop in for a chinwag :D

Not worried about a job; still in high school. Plus, I already know how to program so I am fairly confident.

I am a Computer Science graduate (2006) with special degree in Networking. Sent my CV to over 60 companies, 3 came back with OK (interviews). I did "excellent" if you ask. but, they said No.

I have an excellent CV, good IT skills, but not enough experience.

Still searching,... :D
