Weird that, that song's kind of special to me too.

When I first heard it I was in a foreign country on exchange; I had a ton of essays due, was burnt out, surrounded by twats and incredibly lonely, sitting in the uni computer room trying to get my head sorted when a friend gave me a streaming link to 'Into the West'. It hit the spot, comforted me and cheered me up, and reminded me of my mates back home who I knew were anticipating RotK as much as I was. It was incredibly apt too, since I was in the far east desperately wanting to go home ('into the west' SEE???).

That's exceedingly weird as I just yesterday watched my videotape of the Academy Awards where Annie Lennox sang that! It was extremely moving, as it always is. Its an incredibly powerful piece of music.

Funny too that I am going 'into the west' tomorrow when I leave for Hawaii for a week. :thumbs:
