I checked my email today, and found an email from an ebay user about blah blah blah.

So I thought to myself... "I don't use Ebay.. wtf is this shit". So I traced the item, and found a person with the same name as my email address, who has bid on over *130* items. A member since ****ING SEPT 03.

WTF IS THIS SHIT? I haven't asked either of my parents yet about whether or not they've seen any strange credit card transactions or something, but that's exactly what I'm afraid of. If they did steal a credit card I have no ****ing idea how they did it.

Here's the email in question, just in case this is a common scam or something I've never heard of:

My email address is [email protected]... http://myworld.ebay.com/nosam23/ is the page to the ebay user in question. Keep in mind, that's not me. I'm pretty confused and pissed off right now.

Tell the guy he's got the wrong email address and should send the buyer a message via Ebay rather than an email. It does look fishy regarding needing to know all the details but theres no asking for a password at all. Or do what I'd do and mark the email as spam.

Yea, the email itself looks legit. My main problem here is that I've recently found an account under my regular username that I used for many different websites (nosam23) that has been bidding his ass off. This could be just one huge coincidence (unlikely since that person has my email address somehow), or one huge ID theft.

Anyway I'm going to check this out with my parents and make absolutely sure.

I get those constantly, those are bots spamming you, I'm sure...I get at least 10 a day.

I've not had an ebay account for a long time, and used a previous email address for it.
