WheneverI boot up my computer about half way through the boot up sequence a really loud fog horn type of noise sounds until it gets to the windows logon screen. Does anyone know what this means and how I could fix it? heeeeeelp!

It means all your components are melting toghether and pretty soon all the solder will start dripping off leading to your computer blowing up.

It's your motherboard warning you of something, if you still have the manual for it it should say in there what it means. Otherwise you can look up your mohterboard on teh interweb and download the manual.

Do you think I should try re-installing my NVIDIA Motherboard drivers to see what that does?

What is it like a 2 tone beep or just a 1 tone beep?

Its just like a long low tone noise coming from the speakers that starts when thw 'Windows XP Professional' loading bar appears and disappears when it says 'Welcome' on the screen.

Do what I said in my post. That might clear it up.

SORTED. Fan at the front of the case that sucks air onto the hard drives wasnt connected up to the power.
