Louie is a comedy filtered through the observational humor of Louis C.K. Each episode puts a spotlight on Louis' hectic life as a successful stand-up comedian and newly single father raising his two daughters. The single-camera comedy is a mix of Louis C.K.'s stand-up comedy and scripted short films. Louis C.K. serves as executive producer, writer and director, and Dave Becky and 3 Arts are executive producers. FX has ordered 13 episodes of the series which is shot in New York.

Cynical; thought provoking; very funny; my new favorite show.
 
I just watched the first two episodes on their site...

I think I'm going to go jump off a bridge. Shit is ****ing depressing. His old standup wasn't nearly as depressing as this.
 
Knowing "FX" aka FOX but with a hipper name to attract dem youngins. This will be canceled after a season or two.

I still can't fathom why they canceled The Riches.

Really? I don't find it depressing, I find it comforting. Misery loves company, you know. Because he thinks exactly like I do.

But I'm usually manic regardless, since I have bi-polar disorder. I can get extremely depressed, but I am usually unreasonably happy, i.e. what I meant by manic.


EDIT: I had only watched the first episode so far, and now I've watched the first three. I agree, it is getting a little depressing. D:

So I've been watching this show, loving it. The episode from this week wasn't all that funny but the one from last week about his mom was TV gold. I hope they order another season of this.
 
I've been watching it but haven't really kept up. I've got them on my HDD, and I've watched 4 episodes so far. First episode was my favorite so far.
 
Oh my god it gets better and better. It's so damn good.
 
That's a show, with like episodes and stuff? I saw some of his stand-up comedy on youtube, guy is hilarious. I love the "Deer suck" skit.
 
Yeah it's a sitcom type show with bits of his stand up layered in between. It's incredibly tart and "what?!" worthy. It's awesome.
