Low FPS :(

Hi it took me ages to get this game and now when i go on maps on some bits i get low FPS which causes jumping performance lag :flame: I tryed setting my grapics to low but it still does it can someone help please!!! My grapics card is nVIDIA GeForce 4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X

Well just by you posting you video card, do you really think its going to get over 100 fps or even 70+fps? Very doubtful, because your system probably isn't as fast as some pc's that get that. Don't care about low fps just worry about it not jumping around. :thumbs:

just do some tweaking, helped me gain alot of fps. Google counter-strike source tweaks there are tons of guides out there. :smoking:

i get like 20 fps so its laggy on aztec for example when i am out near bombsite A and lots of shooting.
My other system specs are
Amd athlon
1.66GHz
1gig or ram
Windows XP
Is there anything else i need to post?

I get low fps on some places too. In office for example, when I'm standing in the garage at ct spawn and look outside, I only get 25 fps. I think it's my cpu, because I upgraded from 9600XT to gf6800, and it didn't make any difference in css. It doesn't matter how low I set the graphics (dx 7, everthing on low, bilinair filtering), It doesn't get any higher. When I realized it was my cpu, I set cl_ragdoll_enable to 0. and still no boost... argh. Does anyone know how to lower cpu intensive things? Before I spend €400 on a new mobo and cpu.

My fps is around 30-50 on aztec with a shitty P4 1.8, 150M RDRAM, FX5200

Be careful what you mess with can lead to graphical weirdness, but I run a ATI X700 PCI-Express($205 card probly less) and run 200 FPS+ in lots of areas with some tweaks for the config. I figure after you get use to seeing the same map in all its gloriness might as well hook up the FPS for gameplay.
