Way too thick, and everything is shaped wrong. (Plus, it doesn't even have a R.I.S on it.)

yea i used a reference, it doesnt look too wide from where im looking, how much skinnier is the real gun? halfway skinnier? anyways bring more advice on making the gun better.

The receiver/middle is about 3/4 as thick.

The vertical foregrip isn't pointy.

The front iron sight is much wider then that, starts out a little wider then the barrel, and tapers towards the top a little, but not that much. It's also shaped very differently then that (see image).

The handguard/foregrip needs to be changed, since you're saying it's supposed to be the RIS version, it needs to use the actual RIS handguard (see image) and not the original M4 handguard.

I'm guessing that's supposed to be a laser? Don't you think it would be more effective if it wasn't blocked by something? It's supposed to be attached to the barrel itself infront of the iron sight, and the (red laser) hole needs to be a lot thinner then that.

The barrel is missing the different size variations in it (buldges), and holes in the flash hider on the end are missing.

Plus various other errors, like the missing shell deflector, missing shell ejection port and/or cover, and what ever else is missing on the left side.

(Included a couple extra referrences.)

the way i guage how wide the gun is suppose to be is on the barrel width. once you have it scaled to the barrel you will know its the proper width

the lasers supposed to be there, it hink most of my errors are because of my reference pic, its a pretty bad model but i tried my best to get the details in there. But alright im gonna make the middle skinnier and change the foregrip and a few other things
