You didn't really understand my other two replies.

The title was alluding to the famous Gears 1 'Mad World' ad. In essence, this is the 'sequel' to that ad for the game's sequel. Hence 'Mad World' Mark II. The creators(who made the first ad) are trying to create another ad akin to that.

I agree tbh, after a few watches inparticular. At first I thought it was almost laughable as the plot and characters in Gears is really average. I loved the part in the tunneler though. The only problem I have is will the actual game have the same 'tone/mood' of the trailer? I doubt it. The 'Mad World' trailer wasn't anything like the actual game.

The trailers, set by themselves, are great. However, the tone is so different from the actual games, that they pretty much forfeit all association with them.

You really have to wonder what their key demographic is for these ads.

From the previews I've read, the story is "sort of" more of a focus in Gears 2. As in it's not utter shit, but it's still not, you know, good. Just has a few cool moments or something.
