Hah! Not read his site in a while, not seen the Mac article before. Very well done. Knowing that article now exists provide me with that 'link' now rather than needing to explain my POV again. Muchly appreciated.

I've owned a mac and a PC and I like macs more. The only reason I don't own one right now is $$$. From my experience the people who hate macs are the people who have only used the 11 year old powerMac in their public school library running OS 9.2 or whatever.
 
He'll probably post it at 11:59:59 on April 29 in the latest Time Zone on Earth (whatever that is)

Though that might be a little too much research - might cramp his style.

I used to think I was "un-cool" to be a Maddox enthusiast.

Glad to have some fellow followers in these parts.

To clarify, I don't live my life by Maddox's teaching or anything. I just think he is really funny and generally has a good grasp on reality, and able to write it in a good manner.
 
People emailed him about the late april fools, he said it wasn't late, but 363 day's early.

Anyone else have his book?
 
i read like the first 5 letters of the book then just skimmed around. i giggled some but over all the book was over rated imo

In the case of schools whose funders have no idea what a computer is, that's 100% of the school population. Multiply that by the number of schools that use similarly antique Macs, and you have a lot of haters.

Yes, I'm bitter about it.
 
We have a brand new "Mac lab" and everyone still hates them. They are even giving out brand new mac books to students, and everyone still hates them.

In fact, I havent been in the Mac lab in months because of how much they suck. Ive actually driven to the campus, planning to do some work during open lab, and the only lab oped was the Mac lab. I drove back home and used my own pc.

"Hey Im a Mac! I dont let you assign any custom hotkeys! My marking menus dont work so you have to go through the retarded menus at the top to find anything in maya! Oh yeah, and all your custom scripts? FORGET ABOUT IT! Im a mac, and all I can do is photo and video editing and and im not even that good at it!"

I piss on Macs.
 
I used a G4 iMac in film class to do film, audio and picture editing. It was really, legitimately not as good as my editing experience on PC. The Mac interface is exactly the same as the Windows interface, only the start button is on the top, the close/min/max buttons are in a different corner, and everything takes twice as long to find or appear.
 
Do macs still only have one mouse button or did they fix that?

I'm not a mac hater by any means, but I'm one of those "if I had a lot of money I'd buy one, but until then..." types.

Well, the book seems like he made it, then The Man said, "Well..it's too short, add an extra 100 pages of fluff, and you're gold." So it's got the funny parts cram packed with filler. That drove me nuts.

Oh, and no update? PROPOSTEROUS!
 
The new update seems a bit tamer than usual. I think maddox needs a nap or something.

I mean... everyone kind of always knew, but he seems to be getting off on it now instead of just being his usual badass self.

Hmm, little disappointing, but to be honest he was due for a miss. His last few articles have been incredible.

Mac users, Sony, April Fools Day joke; they were all gold.
 
Who the f*** cares about crappy website designs? Everyone knows most websites are made by dimwits who don't know anything about marketing.
 
If anything, it's true. LOL corporate diversity. That's as good as saying "you're good enough to make us more money!"
 
Haha the only laugh out loud part of the update is him slamming the "one arm over knee" laptop use bullshit. That number was gold.
