Don't let this thread slide to the bottom too easily. Let me say first off, this guy was a true nightmare. Yet he was a true god to anybody that heard him or was a hacker. If you ever pirated a video game, *cough*, the game you downloaded was probably from the group Emporio. What did we get from MadoXx or his other handle "swinswill"?

1. The HL2 beta spread like wild fire thanks to him.
2. The Valve cafe that met his demise, more than a year later.
3. A rumor that he got TF2, and Episode 1.
4. A cracked CS:S beta.
5. The entire no-Steam application that lets you (from what I heard) easily bypass VAC, have all games on Steam and still let you play online.
6. Hacked Activision for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.
7. Stole at least 50,000 credit card numbers and spent 13 million Euros or $20,566,400.17 (making him a multi-millionaire).
8. When people say MadoXx 2 things come to mind: the greatest website in the world guy, or this MadoXx.
9. He was not some kid like I thought, but rather just 20 years old, my age.
10. Generally making companies cower in fear and branding him as the Robin Hood for the black hat community.

I mean I'm not trying to come off as idolizing this guy but this guy owned. When the HL2 hackers were caught, the ordeal truly never ended until now. Also, was anybody surprised by this? I thought this guy was never going to be found. Love the

yeah, I didn't think he was going to be caught seeing as he just faded into insignificance. but if you put photos if yourself on the net and forget to delete word meta-data, well, you don't have much hope then.

as for the rumours, I don't think he got Ep1 or TF2. from what I remember he tried to hold Valve ransom but Valve called his bluff and won.
