I really loved the original, can't wait for this to come out!

Hopefully they'll do a better job on the textures this time, the overly re-used textures in Mafia 1 ruined the whole visuals.

Facial animations look great as do the environments. 2KCzech always did environments well, felt unique and real.

I'm a bit disappointed that they made the game more casual, by introducing regenerating health. As for the trailer - animations looked nice, graphics looked OK, but worse than, for example, GTA IV which is a year old.

The explosion looked a bit weird IMHO (the "cloud" beneath the car):

Other than that, I think it'll be a decent sequel.

Had a saved game on a flash drive, the gun combat in this is surprisingly satisfying.
Very fun.

Car chases with a fully loaded car are so fun too.

Explosions are probably place holder.

It's hard to judge games like this when they are still early in development It will likely change a lot in the last few months.
I just hope it comes with cleanex.

Kotaku is raving about Maffia II.

It's looking like a game that may actually challenge, and in some ways perhaps even surpass, Rockstar's supremacy in the genre.

Does have a lot of good points, but a lot of small but nagging robotic mechanics problems, some unrealistic car handling issues (like stopping on a dime - in the snow even, and oversteering with too much grip) and it needs some sound effects work. Also, reloading a 50 or 100 round Tommy gun drum after firing only 8 rounds is stupid. I think it would be more interesting if you couldn't reload because you only had one drum.

I know it's only a video game but I don't want to be reminded of that fact every few moments.

Still would be good, but hopefully that stuff will be improved.

The indoor parts look great, but almost everything outdoor looks outdated(graphics) and like Virustype said poor handling, I have no idea how those old cars handle in real world but this just looks horrible.
