I didn't think it was possible to extract even a genre of comics from "those comics" . . . oh well.

/me is jealous of Magnetichead's ESP.

I'm magic.

and made of candy.

I like it as an image, but I disagree with the principle of having a splash page on a website.

Well I disagree with the principle of your head still being attached to your body. :flame:

Nah that's a joke. ;)

Can I ask why you feel that way?

It means I have to click once more than I should have to, for no real reason.

Yeah, those extra clicks sure bug the shit outta' me  /sarcasm :p

^__^

Well I look at websites from the perspective of functionality first, flashiness second. A splash page has a negative effect on the funtionality of a site, because I'm forced to load a large image and click an "Enter Here" button to get at the actual content. If I've gone to a website, I've already expressed a wish to enter it and therefore having to click a button to confirm it is pointless, and thus the splash page is redundant. The only sites that need some form of splash page with "Enter" or whatever, are those that contain material that could offend, so making certain that the user is aware what the site contains and is given the option not to view it.

I agree with Zerimski on that... having a useless 'enter' page like that without any real reason, besides the hassle, just seems amateurish...
