My friend and I being the nerds that we are, have been in a debate over who is the most Creative/Badass/ of all the shooting game characters, and if they were all put up against each other who would win. We've been debating with Gordon Freeman, Max Payne, Master Chief and the Doom 3 marine. They all have there natural perks obviously, Max having his ability to slow down time, MC and GF having body armor, And DM for his ability to survive mass slaughters. I'm rooting for Gordon Naturally, but i noticed a lot of other fans in here of the other games, what do you guys think. :stare:

Yeah i get the point that they are all different, and it's not a issue of "oh he wins because this game is best kinda thing" just like who would you like to see win, like the movies Alien vs predator or Batman vs superman just two heroes we love duking it out

As good as Half-Life is, Gordon is one lame character. Could be worse though, they could have stuck with that god-awful initial design (lumberjack).

I'd say Master Chief is definately one of the better more recent FPS characters.

The only difference between the MC and Gordon is the MC has a face shield. And as any hockey player knows, only pussies wear face shields.

Master Chief is such a rip off of the DooM marine, even his body armour resembles the DooM marine.

Probably the DooM marine, since he pretty much destroyed Hell.

JC is the best developed character in any FPS i've ever played (through the storyline, dialogue, ...). he's definetly my alltime favorite.

Gordon is the most original character. He is a theoretical physicist from MIT, rather than a commando or a marine.

Therotically the most imaginative and moody character is Kain from the legacy of kain series. An option to sacrifice and save nosgoth or to dominate...kill his own son...the guy is a total badass.

Of course, if the question comes to the coolest...well ain't it obvious in my case?
