Major Problem with opening Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel!

I have a huge problem that just started happening this morning. I go to Control Panel, then click on Add/Remove Programs but it won't let me! :angry:
It gives me a Critical Stop Sound Error and will not open that icon. What is the problem?! I have run SpyBot Search & Destroy and AdAware. Those didn't fix the problem.

What can I do?! ;(

The Add/Remove Progams file is the only one that is giving me a problem.

It only occurrs when trying to open Add/Remove Programs. I can't even open that. Not the programs inside of Add/Remove, but the icon itself in the Control Panel. I click on the icon, but nothing happens. Only an Error Sound.

That's bizarre. I don't think I can help you then. Out of my league.

Do you have admin rights on your computer to install/uninstall programs?

YES! YES YES

I didn't touch anything or delete anything in the last 10 hours. I have admin rights. I am the only user.

EDIT: Is there anyway to get into Add/Remove Programs without going through Control Panel?

I can't help you with the problem but I know of a program you can use untill the problem is fixed (although it is actually better than Add/remove programs).
