Major Video Problem screens included.

i have a radeon 9600 pro with the lastest video drivers and i keep getting these polygons in some places of the game. In some instances I cannot get any further because of visiblity. Anyone know the reason for this or a possible way to fix it?

Edit- I tried different drivers and a fresh install of windows xp sp1a same.

thats tearing ..roll back vid drivers try 4.9 cats should work..i already heard 9600 was havin dramas with 4.11s hope it helps

I have a similar problem. I am using a machine with a 2.6 GHz Pentium 4, 1 GB Ram and a 9600 pro card. Polygons (usually triangels) are flashing at every resolution or setting I try. Very anoying

Omega driver solved my problem

I replaced the ATI driver (4.11) by the Omega driver (http://www.omegadrivers.net/) and it worked. No more annoying polygons flashing on my screen. HL2 also runs more smoothly.

Also try enabling Vertical Sync.
