making a CSS dedicated server. Please help :)

I cant create servers because if i give my IP to my friends, they cant connect (even if i set sv_lan 0).

So i want to make dedicated and test, so i made one, and it worked...BUT, im not admin of the server, so i cant put password, change map etc, and i want to beta test a map i made with a few friends. How do i become admin of my own dedicated server? Also, how do i change the start map? It says "de_dust" and i cant change it! And how do i set password?

Sry for all the questions, can someone help me?

Well, you are goin to want to set an rcon password, so that you can communicate with the dedicated server. Now, when you are in your server you want to type rcon_password (your password) then you can issue commands to your dedicated server by typeing "rcon map de_dust" or "rcon sv_cheats 1" and to set a password to your server you just type "rcon sv_password (password)"

Um, if you want a step-by-step tutorial on how to open ports for "Create Server" to work, post here or PM me. It took awhile for me, but I know how to do it now.

I'm glad I could help. Yeah, after you have rcon_password, then all you do it type rcon then any command.
