You know the door model which has cool-looking glass effect in it (this door can be seen in city17 for example... the house with bike in the 1st floor, police breaking door in the 2nd floor and then metrocops start to follow you and ppl shout "head to the roof!!" and you need to walk on the roofs and after getting into other house alyx comes...blah)... the stuff behind the door look "dizzing" becouse of the effect.... How is it possible to make effects like this, and is it possible to use them to texture a brush or can they be used in models only?

That's possibly a door texture / model. I'd say you probably can't use it. The other possibility is that you are referring to what it looks like when you throw a env_cubemap in front of a window / door. I think that gives a weird, but cool looking effect.

It's a model, and yes he can use it. Though I don't know how good it looks.

Its a model in the city17 props folder. The actual refractive properties of the door are done via a shader I think.

you can use the texture, just make sure the brush is entity based.
I got it working fine with func_brush and it looks just as good.

what is the texture called please?
