Okay can you guys help me out here. Ive had a good play with trying to make holes in brushes. For example a hollowed out brush which is a room. How would i go about cutting a hole in the wall to create a window or a door? Ive played with the clipping tool but with this i can only cut parts of a brush off. So far ive just been using alot of brushes to create rooms so i can have windows & doors. Im probably missing something easy here. Help me :)

Carve, use it...but use it smart.

(you make a brush going through the part you want to cut out, thing with that brush still selected hit carve and it will cut it out, then just delete that brush...you've got a hole in a wall)

carving works okay, but if you want to be able to edit it later, i would recommend making the wall out of brushes. ( you should really use brushes to make the entire map, not hollow.)

You can edit later....all you have to do is ungroup. You do need to watch out with using carve too much though. It can make things very complex when they need not be. And that'll punch your frame rates in the groin.

Haha : D Thanks you guys that really helped. Thank-ya much : )
