Hello There When I Change My Sk(s) In Game They Work Fine But When I Reload Hl2 Thehy Revert To Default. I Have Tried Skill.cfg And Autoexec.cfg Putting Them In Those Files And None Of Them Work!!!! I Have Also Tried To Edit The .cfg File In The Hl2content Pack With Gfscape But No Luck There Either I'm Afraid. Oh Help What Am I Going To Do!!!! Help Me Prettry Please!!!!

Let me get this straight, you've modified the skill.cfg file and when you first play the modifications you've made are there, but when you reload the game it reverts to standard? I'm asking cause I've modified the skill.cfg file many times before and this has never happened to me...

Put your SK commands in a text document, then give that text document the *.cfg extension and name it command. Then, go to config.cfg and put in at the end: "exec command"

This should work :p

Indeed, and two other pointers. Typing Like This With A Capital At The Start Of Every Word Is Very Irritating, and post in the correct section in the future please.

Welcome to the internet, you appear to be new here. Let me show you around.

A, B, C etc - These are called capital letters. They belong at the start of a sentance only. There are a few other places you should use them, but we'll start you with just the basics. Otherwise your entire post actually means "I'm an idiot"

"Hectic Glenn" - This is what we call a' moderator' or 'mod'. They keep the riff-raff out. These people go by many names, although we suggest **** is not a variant you use.

The internet is not a phycic medium. If you don't tell us you have tryed something, we are not going to think you have tryed it before.

The people who are here are trying to help you out of the goodness of thier hearts. The fact that you did not realise the internet is not a phycic medium does not in fact make them "not helpful". If you are rude to them, others will not be inclined to help you.

Three exlamation marks may indeed be the sign of a diseased mind, however, more than that is a sign of one thats still in its jar.

Well...don't post in caps ok?

Also, take that warning for spam and also as a HUGE hint. I'm beginning to see why you are banned on the Steam forums, and if you'd like to keep the privilege of posting here, and these lovely people helping you I suggest you stop the spam/triple posting. Heed the warning, it's fantastic advice I assure you!

Are you sure the "read-only" tag for the Skill.cfg and Config.cfg are OFF? (So you can change them and they are not auto-generated by the game?)

In all fairness my ban from StreamPowered was rather unfair. I accidently posted the same thing twice and then got banned for an entire month.

Dumbest poster in a while
Yes I know you are.

Nope, the read only tag is off. As far as I know the game always defaults to the skill.cfg in the hl2content gfscape file. I've been over this issue dozens of times so I don't expect to solve it ever:frown: .

So, delete them. (make sure to back them up first, though)

Or you could just edit the cfgs manually through notepad.

And then they reset or just go for the default ones in the GCF files. I don't think we're able to help :/

You could execute the command.cfg I suggested earlier every time you want to change the skills, maybe.
