Making my speakers louder?

Is there any program that can force my speakers to be a bit louder? The sound simply blasts in my headphones, but when I hook up my speakers, I get relatively quiet sound with everything on full volume (speaker settings, media player sound) ect. Thanks.

It sounds as though you're using speakers with out a built in amplifier. If that is the case, that is all the loudness you're going to get out of your computer because it only gives enough voltage/watts to send a sound single not to power the speakers. In anycase, you should buy more powerful speakers then you'll get the loudness you need.

Yus. If you haven't got the money for a set of Creative's, pick up an old hifi amp from a second hand shop or car boot sale; they're insanely cheap and will have more than enough wattage.

An old hi fi amp (as long as its a good one) and a good set of second hand speakers will kick the ass of most ready to go speaker and sub combos you can buy. So much cheaper too.
