Malcom X killer released from prison

Malcolm X was kind of an asshole anyway.

I was kind of sympathetic until the part where he refused to implicate anyone higher up in the Nation of Islam, or even the two other killers. Understandable that he might fear for his life, or not want to leave his children fatherless, but it's not like he gave Malcolm that kindness.

Yeah, exactly the same here. It kind of pissed me off that he didn't rat them out. I guess he would have gotten his sentence cut into half or something too. But yeah, maybe he was concerned for his family.

It's weird how you feel bad for the criminal, 'ain't it? Sympathetic? A man who murdered someone in front of his wife and children.

I just... I don't know. Criminals are people too.

Well, considering he was shot 16 times including a shotgun blast I can't really feel too bad.

He was young and stupid, and he's obviously somewhat remorseful over it. I mean, look at the guy, Morgan Freeman could probably play him if they made another Malcolm X movie, dude's old. You don't spend that amount of time in jail without your conscience catching up with you, especially being a family man. So yeah, I don't really feel that weird about feeling sympathy for him, just, like I said, it's limited by his actions.

Really, I don't mean offense to anyone, but this isn't a hard concept to grasp: prisons are there for rehabilitation, too. Sometimes I think people only see the punishment side of things. Not all criminals, even killers, are utterly irredeemable.

Alright yea whatever. I wouldn't trust a KILLER for anything. Put em to work on the railroad line or put a bullet in their head, thats good enough. They cant contribute anything to society anyway.

Alright i dont even know what a pesh is but i guess this is another way for you people to troll my posts by calling me a nub. w/e.

Oh god and the link in his sig is real. Awesome.

Well I wrote a big post about the Nation of Islam being bad and Malcom X's death being making him immortal in history and how he accomplished a lot in bringing the black community together in heritage and brotherhood, but was too harsh to be effective in garnering civil rights effectively...

but it didn't post and screwed up so... I don't want to type it all again.

I made a big post about a 100% feasible and free alternative energy source which also cures cancer and gives Hitler aids retroactively.

but it didn't post and screwed up so... I don't want to type it all again.

Ok, so he was in jail for 25 years (life) for murdering someone, he served his time and now he's out...

So?

And now everyone needs to be shocked and appalled that the justice system doesn't keep people locked up indefinitely.

I don't know who changed smith's title, but I love you for it.

Edit: A man who killed a prominent public figure under interesting circumstances is released. I know that's not nearly as compelling as "Statistics about injuries caused by your pet", but I think it's worth a thread.

Good post. And I agree.
