Some people I know ordered a computer system from someone on pricewatch.com
The system arived today and the side of the case was smashed in and the cpu/heatcooler/and socket where not attached to the mother board! The floppy drives ribbon cable was not attached to the motherboard. They did not get insurance or a warrinty. So I do not know if they can reture the computer to the company. And they want me to help then. I am trying to figure out if I should talk to the shipping company or the computer company.

I have some pics but they are to big to post them here :(

well if there was no insurance on the package then they might be SOL, talk to the shippers though.

You can't order from pricewatch.com. Pricewatch.com just directs you to very cheap retailers.

It's usually best to stay away from the cheapest of the cheapest. It's usually a good sign that something is wrong...

Ya the cheapest of the cheapest is usually the crap..

I know plenty of people who have bougten systems being directed from PW and they were excellent. Anyway..Its a 50/50 chance of getting a refund or a them shipping you a new one. No insurance usually means the they are no way responisble for what happens during shipping(that is what insurance is for)

#2..this is the biggest thing would have been not to have even opend the box..if the side of the case was smashed in then it was a pretty big hit and the box should have had damage to it.

also...all the parts described as not being hooked up is normal for comps at such a low price.

the cocket that the cpu goes into was not attached to the motherboard! the cpu was in it. the heat cooler held the cpu and the plastic socket. the side of the shipping box does have a smash in place on it.

Is the thing actually broken or the parts just weren't connected properly?

Why would you order from a company that didn't provide any type of warranty, or offer you the option to insure your delivery? My suggestion, do a little research before you order anything.

I did not ordor it! Someone I know did.
And yes it is broke! the plastic socket that is supposed to be attached to the mother board is came off with the cpu and heatcooler.

That's what you get from a retailer on priceline.com. Don't expect great service at a cheap price. Ever.
