That was not a typo.

Mr Chistolm sued Bank of America in Manhattan's federal court in August for "1,784 billion trillion" , in a complaint that boiled down to poor customer sevice.

But US District Judge Denny Chin asked Mr Chiscolm to provide further evidence to support his claims by October 23rd, or find them dismissed.

Interestingly, that is more money than actually exsits in the world.

1.7 octillion, gtfo british system "billion trillion" bullshit.

If I could sue somebody for sh*tty customer support and win like 3 billion dollars....

I love the slideshow that tries to explain the scale of that amount of money with "Bill Gate Planets".

Yeah that was funny, but it does put thing into perspective.
Over 5000 planets each one with a population of 6 billion people, and each one of those people as rich as Bill Gates...

I can see it now.

Breaking news, world economy collapses because of lawsuit.

Why are claims like this not instantly dismissed? Or the claimant sectioned immediately for making them with anything like a hint of conviction?

The Government won't let that happen.

I say he walks out with a million dollars at best.

Well, hes either doing it as a joke and for the publicity, or hes trying to make a statement. The news article was too flabbergasted by the number to provide any information that would tell us which it is.

Maybe he's trying to get on a reality TV show.
But even reality TV has standards

Well, if he expects that much money from a courtcase, then he is obviously stupid and will probably get sued for holding up the court's time

I was always wondering what the units were called after Peta, I already like the sound of a YotaByte harddrive :s

I think I could retire on that.

think of the amount of servants you could have! you probably could also have the largest army of foot soldiers this side of the Galaxy!

Mr. Chistolm: I am suing you, Bank of America, for $1,794,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.00 , due to poor customer support.

Bank of America: That's ridiculous, you'll probably walk away with only about 1 million for our poor customer support.

WAIT, WAAAAT?!
