Alright, this idea has been stabbing at me for several weeks already. Has anybody tried making a modification, (server-side, for instance; like AdminMod), for Half-Life, (1, not 2), using .NET?

I don't mean with Visual Studio .NET 2003 specifically, but C++ w/ managed extensions? Interop? Just C#, perhaps? I've been just dying to try this out, so I'm wondering if any .NET developers, (if there are any here), tried this. I believe the Half-Life code is done in C, right? Or C++?

Somebody must've tried it! :stare:

All the libraries might be in C++, sure, but has anyone tried using them with managed code?

Not sure if anyone's tried it, but I don't see why not.

They ported Quake II to .NET and it ran fine.
