Earlier today, Mann vs Machine received a sizable update bringing two new Tours of Duty to the three existing maps. Valve pointed out that many players claimed the current Operation Steel Trap was too easy, while many thought it was a little too hard.

In order to balance the books, Operation Oil Spill, intended to be a long and easy tour, and Operation Gear Grinder, a short but extremely difficult tour, have both been added with accompanying unique loot available to players who purchase Mann Up mode tickets.

The new loot in question includes two new sets of rare "Botkiller" weapons. For completing Operation Oil Spill, players can hope to receive the Rusty or the less commonBloody weapon variants, while players completing the difficult Operation Gear Grinder tour have the possibility of finding either the Carbonado or the less common Diamond variants. Each tour also has an accompanying badge, received by completing a single Mann Up mode mission in the specific tour of duty.

The patch also brought a number of significant changes to the Mann vs Machine matchmaking system. Players can now search for specific games faster by highlight individual missions, tours or difficulties they'd like to complete. In addition, players can also choose to remain with a party after a mission has been completed, a welcome change for those looking to make some new robot-killing buddies. The patch also included a number of other minor tweaks and fixes, which you can check out in the full change log available here.

Is it? Man, I've got numerous hours of leveling to do in Borderlands 2 before I get back around to playing TF2, but this sounds delicious.

I still can't even get past ****ing Mannworks when all the ****ing Fists of Steel Bots and Giant Scouts show up.
