map error

in sdk when i try to run a map a window pops up saying "lightmap to big to fit in window". what does that means and how should i fix it. help are preciated.
 
When you run it in hammer? When you run a map you made yourself and when you try to run that? When running any map while SDK is open?

If its just one map made by you it seems as if you've been playing around with lightmaps and not known what you are doing. The simple cure is to select your whole map, hit the texture application and type in 16 for lightmap scale and then hit apply. All lightmaps will then be reset to normal.
