As far as I am concerned Marathon II was on of the most intense games I've ever experienced, surpassing, in parts, dar i say it, HL. The game had incredible atmosphere and action, and is by dar one of the best games on maintosh...EVER. just think if someone remade the marathon games on source. not having any mod experience i have no idea how hard it would be to do this, (i'm assuming very) but anyone who has played any of the marathon games would say that would be rediculously sweet.

THOES ARE THE BEST GRAPHICS IVE EVER SEEN, right after hl2 that is ;)

:bounce: :bounce: dual pistols im Marathon II is the most fun ive ever had in a game

Bad start.

Rather than that, it'd be so much better to capture what makes Marathon such an (apparently) excellent game and use that as a base for your idea, instead of just updating Marathon. I wish people would go for some originality in their projects.
Agree. I made a thread on this kind of thing way back in May of last year.. ugh.

Sorry.

omg, I remember marathon... the original. first shooter game I ever played. great game :D a marathon remake or a game based on marathon would be cool, but it needs Marathon's original feel.

You can't talk about classic gaming on the Mac without mentioning Marathon. At a time when first-person shooters were still new and exciting, Marathon was one of the first and, even today, one of the best to ever grace the Macintosh.
yeah, I had a mac lots of years ago

hey i messed up on my poll questions (the second one shold be the marathon series) can anyone tell me how to change it?

If anyone has even played marathon 2 and has a copy of the pictue they display when you start a game (the guy holding the spine) please dear go email it to me! DC9884@hotmail thanks in advance

im a nub to the fourms

How can Halo be a "Marathon rip-off" when they were both made by the same company? Perhaps similarities that exist can be blamed on the games being developed by the exact same people. To me "rip-off" means stealing someone else's work and passing it off as your own. So it's sort of hard to rip-off yourself.
