Ok, let's start from the beginning.
In 100 words or less, why should I change my opinion of Mark Kermode from 'a bit of a ****' to 'I understand why you'd want to spend more than two seconds in the room with him'?
No but seriously. For someone who primarily appears on 'the culture show', he needs to get a ****ing grip on contemporary society. We're talking about someone who had seen one episode of the Simpsons by the time the movie came out. Someone who had never played on a video game console until being totally non-plussed by three minutes of wrist shaking Wii action. I realise that the point is that he's 'very into films', but you can be a decent film critic whilst living away from the Olympian peak of utter pop-culture ignorance that he occupies.
Even when I can get behind something he says (dislike of the current '3D Revolution'), I know I cannot possibly have any common ground with him. What an infuriating man.

Well I've always found his reviews to be quite good anyway :|
I'll admit I've never really followed his work massively and did not know he never watched the simpsons or has only played a wii but yeah I still thought he is a good critic :|
