Marlon Brando in Superman Returns?

Weird, I JUST saw this and was about to post it :p

It's pretty cool...but I'm going to be haunted in my dreams by the phrase, "You do not remember me."

Yeah I love the music, anyone recognise it? The Someone, I'm looking in your direction. Or is it written for the film?

Really cool vid, but the music just sounds like some simple loops overlayed, I don't recall ever hearing it before.

I thought all the did was take the stuff from Superman 1 and loop it

Yes, he is. Here is an interesting video on how they did it:

For those who don't know Marlon Brando was a famous actor who passed away two years ago. Also if the quicktime video doesn't work use the WMV link. Very cool.
Those who don't know who was Marlon Brando should $#&^@#^$#@$#@ &%^&#@# themselves

He got paid like $3 million dollars to appear in the original Superman movie for less than 5 minutes!

Or better known for his role as 'The Godfather' ;D

That was very interesting. Cant wait till the movies is released. IMAX TIME!!

That good... spend all that time/money making that model, then cover it with ice so you can barely make it out. They could've just got a lookalike.

Is it true they're trying to make superman homosexual? I heard talk of it on Colbert Report... wasn't sure what to make of it.

they should ..he's the gay mans archetype

Yeah, but he wasn't gay to begin with... so they shouldn't change it. If they want there to be gay superheroes... why not just create new ones?

Making a superhero gay for the sake of making them gay... that's no good.

the backstory was flimsy to begin with ..they wouldnt be losing much by making him gay ...in fact they'd probably improve the character ...superman is probably my least liked superhero ..he's just sooo ...boring

Those rumors were probably started because Bryan Singer is gay. Superman's love interest has always been Lois Lane. While I'm not a big fan of Superman since he is as Stern said pretty boring, Singer knows how make things interesting.

I agree superman is boring... I could never understand peoples infatuation with him. ANd I could never understand how people are so stupid they can't tell who he is... It's not like he's wearing a MASK!!

superman only works well as an archetype ..he's either the straight laced All-American uber-patriot (see Frank Miller's the Dark Knight Returns) in the same vein as Captain america or he's a parody of himself (gay superman, the embodiement of white supremacy ideology etc)

Superman wasn't really an All-American uber-patriot. He became the US government's lackey because he was allowed to continue saving people. He didn't really care for politics.

How did you pull out white supremacy ideology from superman?

Reminds me of an oral presentation my friend made on him... He started by saying "The man you see on the picture [Marlon Brando] is dead".

Yeah, no one's ever heard of On The Waterfront. :hmph:

Ah, a good film. The feeling of justice at the end is unparalelled.

I do not remember him.

I do not remember him.

I do not remember him.

Gay superman isn't a half-bad idea, really. The psychological side of Ol' Supes is the interesting part.

Otherwise he's practically omnipotent, making it dull at times.
Satan is the most interesting character in Paradise Lost, after all, because he's more human.

just saw the promo of Superman Returns. it seems to be promising like spiderman. i hope it doesnt faithfully follow the path of hulk kinda movie.

Wait... didn't Marlon Brando just recently do the voice of some evil dude in Elder Scrolls: Oblivion? They mentioned whoever it was played an evil dude in one of the original Superman movies in the making of.

I personally don't hold much stock in Ebert's opinions.

Especially since he gave The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift 3/4. Haha, my ass it was.
