Heh, I've been saying this for a loooooong time

Masculinity Challenged, Men Prefer War and SUVs

Cornell University researcher Robb Willer used a survey to sample undergraduates. Participants were randomly assigned feedback that indicated their responses were either masculine of feminine.

The women had no discernable reaction to either type of feedback in a follow-up survey.

But the guys' reactions were "strongly affected," Willer said today

"I found that if you made men more insecure about their masculinity, they displayed more homophobic attitudes, tended to support the Iraq war more and would be more willing to purchase an SUV over another type of vehicle," said Willer said. "There were no increases [in desire] for other types of cars."

 ...it actually explains some of the sentiments from some of our members

You took that avatar back, Harij :O now we're twins.

edit: wow, we can get a SUV now and shoot an UMP :D

SUV's aren't a mans vehicle. Its a woman's vehicle. Trucks are a man's vehicle.

i like guns, but SUVs? what shitty vehicles, gimme a muscle car any day

yes but there's very few muscle cars currently in production ......so ya ...btw what exactly are you admitting to here? ;)

Oh and by the way I think that article is a load of bs...

haha they prove the article to be correct stern, by displaying homophobic tendencies, and you havne't even questioned their masculinity yet....

meh that's cuz they're all a bunch of lily-livered panty-waists who enjoy a good night out at the opera or shopping for shoes!

/me waits for SUV sales to soar ;)

I can't believe half of all males attempt at being Homophobic considering half of them jack off with their friends, or even finger their own asses when they masterbate. (Not all, but its a pretty significant number of men who try).

kerberos that is most troublesome, how come you know that?

hmm, when guys want to flaunt their machismo they go out and buy a muscle car or off-road vehicle...

Ironically, the best way to attract other men is to own a muscle car or off-road vehicle... interesting that. :p

Reminds me of Family Guy when Peter was chosen to get support for the Iraq war. He just says don't forget, if you oppose the war you are gay and everyone jumped on the bandwagon of being for the war. Classic.

That's why I drive the chick magnet.

hmmm before suv's it must have been:

muscle car + support of war = masculinity challenged

Me? No. I'm just an 18 year old with no money. I'm trying to buy a mid 90's Honda Civic as a gas saver for college so I can go into Nursing school.

Does that sound like a testosterone trip to you?

*Edit*

Not to meantion, this is my 1000th post. Oh hey, it only took me two years.
