Mass Effect 2 General Thread

==========================================

I'm femshep Vanguard Spacer War Hero who is a ray of sunshine in a dark galaxy. I only choose Paragon choices, I save as many lives as possible, and I always look after my own. As of this writing, I am full Paragon.

My personal squad preference is Miranda + Grunt, however Mordin's Incinerate ability has proven to be invaluable against organics. So far, biotics are extremely fun, and playing an up-close-and-personal Vanguard is a thrill, especially on Hardcore.

My favorite weapon is the shotgun: bosses go down very quickly after a Overload + Charge + Shotgun w/ Incendiary Ammo to the face combo.

I won't be playing it.

Good story aye?! :P

Don't have it yet.
But I have two maleShep I plan on transfering once I do. one pretty neutral soldier, where I pick what I feel is right for the moment. And one Asshole Renegade Vanguard where I shoot people in the face for holding out on me.

I am Tyrone Shepard, an Earth-born Soldier WAAAAAUUUUGH Hero who grew up on the streets. I am taking the paragon route in hopes I can clean up this system and be the guy who was a man. Current preference Is Grunt and Zaeed/Garrus, but those two are subject to being replaced once I get Tali or Thane. Grunt's claymore shotgun I researched plus his brute strength make him a beast. Zaeed is just badass. Garrus makes me laugh on the battlefield.

Battle rifle and flamethrower are badass. Fanwatygjk, vgthyjgkin

I am Kalue Shepard, a Colonist Soldier who helps people find arbitrary things and kills thresher maws with my bare hands.

Although I do what is right most of the time, sometimes I let morals go to the side in favor of true badassery, like cracking necks of mercenary lords mid-conversation or headbutting krogans to show them I mean business. When not smacking things with my fists, I tend to stay back with my sniper 'cannon'. Tali and Garrus are my main bros, simply because you can't beat old times. Whiel some people may say my methods are rash, I always get the job done.

You can't melee ****ing thresher maws. That's impossible. THEY CRUSH THE MAKO WITH ONE PUNCH AND SPIT ACID AND SHIT! CAN'T BE DONE! Explain please.

Okay ~maybe~ I didn't melee it, but I certainly killed it on foot.

Details details.

Ok. Well that's still pretty cool. I'll try that out. Im overpowerd as shit on my second play through.
John Shephard hates thresher maws. They killed his unit on Akuze.

I recently got a message from the bro I helped out in one of the side missions of ME1, where you kill or save the scientist who caused the mass killings on Akuze.

He said he'd found out I was working with Cerberus, who had done that shit to us. And he was disappointed in me. And that he's on a specialized team made for hunting down Cerberus, and that I am no exception.

I sadfaced.

Aw man, not Toombs! This will be a hard mission I can tell. I just got Mass Effect 2. I just need to finish up my lvl 60 and im off.

Kyle Shepard, master Vanguard, headbutter of Krogan, he singlehandedly repelled a batarian invasion during the Skyllian Blitz, and is personally responsible for placing Captain Anderson at the head of the Council on the Citadel. His cynical, renegade-esque view of the galaxy is goes well with Mordin Solus' quick-witted analytical observations, and Zaeed Massani's sheer badassery.

Imported my femshep renegade Infiltrator, colonist/relentless. Briefly considered turning her into a Vanguard, but I'll save that for my second playthrough as a goody-good manshep.

I'm liking the Infiltrator's variety of abilities so far, the only issue I've had is finding a solid use for stealth, as I haven't found it especially useful for taking people out close-range. On veteran difficulty an SMG will take a few solid bursts to get through an average guy's health, by which time I'm out of cloak and his buddies are punching me in the face. Mostly I've just been using it to switch cover covertly, get some extra power on a sniper shot, or to add some more punch to my SMG if I need to take down a heavy mech shield or something. Still, the combination of weapons is pretty killer and I like that it forces me to rely on my squad a bit more (send the close-range guys in first and back them up, instead of just rushing in guns blazing). Sniper headshots are surprisingly satisfying, also. :)

Story-wise, the best fun I've had in the game so far: bitching out shopkeepers in the citadel wards to get discounts. "HEY EVERYONE, THIS SHOP HATES POOR PEOPLE."
