I've got £20 to spend and haven't played either of these games. If you want, suggest a better game under the price margin of £20.

Mass Effect. It's longer and I found it more interesting. I played Dead Space on pc though and that version had shitty controls and graphics that are too bright so maybe that's the reason. Anyway, you should try Mass Effect, it's good.

Haven't played Dead Space, but you should get Mass Effect any way.

I like them both to be honest, so I can't recommend one over the other, besides, depends what kind of game your after, as Mass Effect is an amazing RPG with some quite ropey combat, whereas Dead Space excels in it's action. Also, Dead Space has a brightness slider bar for those who find it too bright.

I've tried it with the slider all the way down but it's still too bright compared to console versions.

Also, OP, it matters whether you'll play on PC or on console. Dead Space is better on console, Mass Effect on pc.

I was planning to play both on PC, but I could just get Dead Space for PS3.

Mass Effect.
You'll get so much more out of it than Dead Space, which is also a good game but it's a bit short.

Yup, Mass Effect. Great game. Not perfect, but an awesome sci-fi romp in the vein of the best 80s sci-fi. Incredible music too.

Both games were not fantastic IMO, while there is more to do in Mass Effect, Dead Space was more memorable in terms of style. I suppose I would recommend Mass Effect.

But, I would suggest GTA 4 over both of those, the only game I've played recently that I felt was worth the Money (Next to VTMB)

Mass Effect for story and just killing time

Dead Space for some generic, beautiful 3rd person horror experience.

Get both if you can. GTA 4 is a disappointment and a mess on the PC.

Between the two Dead Space IMO. Mass effect although good I personally don't think was as good as everyone said it was.

Seems to be okay for me, but then, I have changed the sliders in the Nvidia colour settings too. As for being better on console, it's identical if you plug in a 360 pad. :)

I'd vote for Mass Effect, though I havent played Dead Space.

Though I personally love the '80s scifi stlye which is a major reason I loved it so much. If you're not keen on that sort of thing I'd avoid it.

Games always look dark and fuzzy on a TV screen. Sloppy port, I guess.

I played both and I liked Mass Effect a little bit more than Dead Space, which I didnt like.

Both are very good games, Mass Effect if you have to pick one, its much longer and a lot more epic.

I didnt really like Mass Effect, but Dead Space was good fun.

personally i never liked mass effect, so id go for dead space. it had a few problems, but overall it was a very fun game.

It is a bitchdick on the PC, but once you patch it, it's not so bad.

Other than that, I would argue that it is not a disappointment, especially in comparison to Mass Effect and Dead Space.

Is the MP really as bugged as people say it is on the PC?
It's really my deciding factor in whether or not I get it.

Dead Space bored the shit out of me, Mass Effect.

I haven't had any problems with it honestly.
