Massive Steam Update! Lost Ofline Mode!

O.K. a couple of weeks ago I go "online" with steam. First time in weeks. Steam does it's whole update thing, then, when I say I want to play Half Life it says it needs to download something that is 8 gigs big. That would take two weeks on my internet connection. So I totally uninstall half-life.

I install half-life again. The update is much smaller now I get it downloaded during the night.

Next Day: I try to play half life. Works fine online. But no Offline mode. I go into properties and it says it is 99% finished with the update. I have been online several times since and it won't finish the update. So now I'm stuck without an offline Mode.

Please help me get my offline mode back! I emplore you. I trust you. Save Me.

Delete your clientregistry.blob and see if that helps. If not, delete the cache file and try redownloading it.
