Matrox Millennium G450 DualHead

I have a matrox millennium g450 dualhead video card. The current driver that is installed in version 5.93.9.0. Half life 2 freezes when I try to start the game. I have DirectX 9 installed. I could not find any info on why the game freezes.

Honestly, the G450 is a rubbish card for games, and Matrox's drivers aren't what you call "updated" to handle the latest games.

I'd suggest to you to either dump the G450 and go with either of ATI or Nvidia's dual head solutions, or...well... yeah
