Max Payne flick in production.

Marky Mark as Max Payne?

God f*cking dammit. Is he going to be bringing the Funky Bunch with him?

They could've done a lot worse then marky mark. I think hell be quite good actually.

I can't see him in the part. And I don't think he can pull off a noirish narrative.

they should have hired this guy:

I don't think Madsen has enough room in his schedule for this. He's already involved as an actor for 8 different movies in 2008 and 2 in 2009.

Madsen is also fairly OLD...been awhile since he's looked like he did in Reservoir Dogs

They should just get one of the two guys they use for Max's face, one of them worked ont he team and the other was some soap opera dude

pretty boy soap opera actors are not suited for film noir, especially since most cant act ..Madsen being older, out of shape or tired looking suits film noir to a T ...if that's the direction they're going, which I doubt

Ray Liotta would be a better fit

ya but madsen has that robert mitchum tough guy hard boiled detective look ..liotta pulls off made man/psychotic guy well ..but he'd still be great in the role and I'd pay to see it

Marky Mark is not a great choice, though it could've been a lot worse. He'll turn in a serviceable peformance.

I'm much more concerned about this director...

Mark is one of my favorite actors this is good news for me.

Stern I've never agreed with you more. Madsen would be perfect.

Actually, i think they should've gotten the guy who plays Nate Fisher on Six Feet Under to play Pain. Seriously, he wears this leather jacket throughout the entire first season and looks almost exactly like the model from the original game.

i hope they keep the noir style and the music and story telling with the drawings etc.

of all the video games, I think max payne would actually make a half-decent movie.

EDIT: but I also thought that about hitman..

I really like Mark, I thought he was a great edition to The Departed and he was great in Shooter.

This could be interesting.

What do ya think? With the right hair style? Huh? Huh?

This guy was on a 90's TV show called Viper... And his name happens to be James McCaffrey.

Oh and btw he voiced Max Payne in the Games.

I personally think that after watching Heroes for a bit that Adrian Pasdar would make a decent Max Payne.
I sort of has the look and I'm pretty damn sure that he'd pull of a great noir performance.

You know, I look at all this discussion, then I realize it's futile because Wahlberg has already been cast. Not that I don't like him, but there are just so many better choices. I wish these producers would consult real gamers before they decide on things. They'd sell so many more tickets that way.

no matter who they have as actors, it will fail. pretty much all film/game crossovers suck. remember DOOM: The Movie.

nuff said.

Maybe eventually we'll have something decent come along.. but if they keep making stupid choices like this, it will never happen.
