The Japanese have sure had some great ideas. I mean, giant robots. What could possibly be more thrilling than to pilot your own mech, and to have that awesome power at your fingertips? To stride forward with giant limbs at the flick of a wrist and blast opponents away with guns bigger than a Freudian penis statue? Just imagine being above it all, a free spirit trapped inside an enormous hulk of armour… watching the clouds stream past in dainty formations as you casually flatten entire neighbourhoods with feet that would make Bigfoot silently nod in admiration. [br] [br] Unfortunately, Mech Assault Genesis will not give you this experience. Sorry to burst your huge metallic robot bubble- but games aren’t real. The only way you’re going to feel the awesome power of a mech is if you build one yourself, or alternatively, beat up people who are significantly smaller than you while wearing riot gear. Not that I’ve done that myself or anything… [br]

[br]You can visit the MAG site http://www.mechag.com/, although if a simulation just wont cut it for you, find the location of your nearest primary school here.

I can't wait for this, I <3 Gundam stuff. GU is still not out for Q3, so this should hold me over, looks soooooo good.

Poor, poor Heinlein. :(

Yeah but Heinlein didn't have his robots piloted by 13 year old kids with high pitched voices!

Interesting work. I'm not a fan of Seed's design work though, it's all a bit generic and all the bright, coordinated colouring just screams "BUY OUR MODEL KITS". Heh, for that matter, a mod like this is a good idea really. Keeps the kiddies from supporting the Bandai marketing juggernaut... Seed Destiny was absolutely awful. A problem with the mod though: everyone will be using the Freedom Gundam. I mean, they're going to have to seriously nerf it and it's super fabby-dabby attacks...

I'm just bitter that no one gives Turn-A the attention it deserves. But seriously, it has brilliant design work! Even robots with giant metallic moustaches! Indeed, especially robots with giant metallic moustaches...

And yes, I have Turn-A models. Don't hit me.

Turn-A Gundam had the BEST storyline of the series.

Those look very good... except that Green one. I'd be laughing at someone using that.

*I have a giant green block for my head and shoulders*

The back armor is down on Forbidden. It bends beams or something. http://www.mechag.com/~kira/forbidden.jpg <- It looks a lot better in Mobile Suit Mode (or rather, it looks a whole lot more generic Gundam in it's mobile Suit mode. I personally disliked all the bad-guy suits towards the end of Seed, though the pilots in them were amusing)

Not sure I like the model mind you... the head looks scrunched up to me. And I do hope they're a bit more accurate with the colours when they come to skin it ^_^

Probably because "Gundam" is a dirty word for most people. Mechs in general have more credibility.

\o Samon :)
