For a tiny bit more credibility

In their most tenacious effort to control the ‘spin’ on the worst oil spill disaster in US history, BP has purchased sponsored links at the top of internet search engines, Google and Yahoo. The top listed links direct people to BP's official company website for news and information on the catastrophe.

BP spokesman Toby Odone confirmed to ABC News that the oil giant had in fact bought internet search terms.
The words ‘oil spill’, 'BP oil spill', 'Deepwater Horizon' and 'oil spill response' are among several other related search terms that all lead to the top listed sponsored links purchased by BP.

A spokesman said BP would pay fees so its own website would rank higher or even top in the list of advertisements that appear alongside search results when internet users search on terms such as "oil spill," "volunteer" and "claims."

Anyone got links to those facebook pages he was talking about?

Interesting stuff

related :O

"they used dish-washing liquid to clean up those birds"

Seriously? :|

Also that first interview is definitely eerie. Is there any way to confirm any of this?

I hate to admit it, but I'm beginning to think Danimal was right. *puts on tinfoil hat*

Come on, the source is from a UFO nut. Why couldn't a decent reporter uncover all this?

I should say by the way, the reporting on the spill has been shit, absolutely terrible,

What if it gets in their eyes!? I say just leave the oil on them rather than risk minor irritation...

no idea if true or not....doesn't Krynn live in LA?

I did up until about a month ago. I moved back home to CT right when people started realizing how bad this was going to be. I was actually in New Orleans while it was leaking, but it was before anything had reached the shorelines yet.

And yes, BP is spending millions and millions of dollars on a PR campaign to lessen the damage to their rep. Both John Stewart and Steven Colbert even had a bit on it last night. Apparently when you google "oil spill" the first featured link on google is to bp's website thats saying all they're doing to help.

They're also throwing Tony Hayward under the tires so he is taking all the heat and then they'll fire him once they stop getting 'new' bad press. Then it will look like BP is an upstanding company who simply had a bad CEO.

Mhm That's good to know Krynn hope you can move back soon (if you want too.)
Well the main reason why this youtube video caought my interest is because there just doesn't seem to be too much footage of oil covered animals and the marshlands...The Photos sofar all look like stock photos I haven't seen any amateur stuff at all so I was a little worried on how much of a lid they're are putting on the whole situation....

Cloverfield is sh*tting in your ocean

As a matter of fact, I've heard that a UFO clipped the rig and went down into the water, the reason why the drilling platform also went down
