Media player gone?

i think windows media player has disappeared from my pc, every time a site that needs it to play a video comes up, it says 'cannot create directshow player' and when i try to open windows media player it says something about a terminal error. Any ideas whats happened?

You could download the latest version of WMP from the microsoft website. That would probably fix the terminal error you recieve when you try and open it, and also during the installation, it will associate WMP with all your audio and video files. You can find the latest version of WMP here:

i have tried, but when i open up the installer it says something bout a terminal error

Can you post screenshots of the errors you get when you try and install it and when you try and open the media player. Might recognise them.

the first one is what happens when i try to play movies from a website, and the second one happens when i try to open windows media player or the installer
