Menu backgrounds

I was screwing around with the console and noticed that you can load the different menu backgrounds, would it be possible to make one of the menu backgrounds my desktop?

I think it is just load background01 goes up to 07, if not load try map

Do you mean have the moving backgrounds as your desktop?
AFAIK Windows only allows pictures and webpages, i've done some moving backgrounds in Flash and made them into webpages for my backgrounds but that is as far as i have been able to get.
Apparently the next Windows will be 3D so it's possible that there will be 3D backgrounds in that.

In the one background with the burned out buildings in ruins and rubble, you can see a figure walk into a window and stand there. Just thought I'd point this out.

I absolutely love the 2nd one. First you get to see this realy quiet peacfull view of the red barn (outpost 8) with the nice sound of birds and water in the backround. Then all of a sudden a helicopter flys over. I have a 5.1 surround system and man that is SOOOO cool. You can hear the chopper comming from behind you realy quietly and then it just rushes forward on to the screen
