Mercenaries 2 Ps3 Exclusive?

Yeah, we have known this for a little while now. It would be remarkably stupid for these big companies to ignore the other (potentially) big platforms.
 
Wow, Sony has pretty much only got the first party titles and MGS left on the exclusivity list. Oh well, means I can play all those great games... on my 360 :D
 
I officially have no reason to get a PS3 now! O and I cant wait for this game Mercenaries was by far one of my favorite games of all time!
 
Wow..the only reason I have left to get a PS3 is for MGS4 and DMC 4.

Yeah...only their first party. You do recall that under the Sony umbrella lie the ICO/SOTC team, the GT team, the God of War team, the Ratchet & Clank team, the Killzone team, the SOCOM team, the Motorstorm/WRC team, etc etc etc, right? And as for third party titles, what about a little title called Final Fantasy XIII or White Knight Story or Lair or Uncharted: Drake's Fortune or Afrika? Its most definitely got more exclusives lined up than any other "next-gen" system right now, imho at least. Once games by these top teams get released there will likely be a very different hardware landscape at hand....

He's right though. This really isn't a big loss. I never really considered Mercs 2 a PS3 exclusive anyway though I do remember hearing that it was. It's not a game I plan on buying though, not for PS3 or PC (the two platforms I own).

When it comes to these open world games, I'm gonna hold out for GTA4.

or hold out, make sure no one buys them, force them to expand to the 360 and Wii to make a good profit and thereby being able to get a cheaper console, the game, and if you have the wii some neat contorls.

I like my idea.

None of those games, except for possibly White Knight Story or FFXIII, will ever leave the PS3. The rest are either being developed in house by Sony or published by Sony.

What you're saying makes about as much sense as me not buying a 360 so I'll see Halo or Banjo Kazooie on the PS3. Doesn't work.

Hahaha! No no no...not yet at least. Like I have said many times before, I will likely get a PS3, a 360, and a Wii but not until the prices drop and/or some (read: more than 2) worthwhile games release for each platform. The PS3 will be offering me great exclusive titles, the 360 will be offering me PC games that I don't have to upgrade my PC to the nines for, and the Wii will be offering me innovative, clever gaming that certainly immerses you more in the game world(s) and hopefully offers some great adventure titles down the road as well!!

Pff, it's EA, of course it's not gonna be an exclusive.

Should be cool. The first one was pretty fun but you could kinda tell it was destined for next-gen. As long as they push the more powerful systems to their capacity, it could be pretty awesome. Just hope it doesn't suffer from port-itis on account of the PS2 version.
 
Whats wrong with a game not being exclusive, I think it's great that people on multiple platform will be able to enjoy it.
 
This is great, this means they ain't screwing over the original XB1 fanbase(IIRC Pandemic made more sales of the XB1 Mercs vers than the PS2 one), and they're a really great team, I mailed'em in late 2k4 when they released the PS2 demo of Mercs in NA, I living in Europe, they sent me three copies of the demo NTSC vers, they even paid for shipping!
