It's proper shit, don't bother. Or if you want to know what it's like without buying it, go grab a copy of Mercs 1 and imagine something vomiting mediocre next gen graphics and shitty voice acting all over it.
I was particularly disappointed that there is no LAN play in the PC version. You have to play over the internet, meaning you have to make an account, meaning you can't play on LAN with only one copy.
Can't say for sure whether this is an anti-piracy (and I use that term loosely, I don't think installing two copies of a game in one household to play multiplayer on that network is piracy) measure or just a symptom of a shitty port, but either way ... **** EA.
Once again, I seem to enjoy a game that no one else does. I have not played the first Mercenaries, so I can't use it for comparison, but I find myself enjoying the time I am playing Mercenaries 2. It would have been nice to have been able to play it over LAN. I'll agree to that.
