can someone tell me how to render in wireframe, please critique, it looks horrid, but i'm not through, just worked on it for a hour or two. plz give me suggestions on how to make look better and tools i can use and tut sites if you know some for that tool

its proberly a good idea to make some higher resolution render and save them as .jpg's

If you are using 3dsmax and you wish to get a wireframe just put edge faces on (f4) and print screen.

There are two ways i know of to get a wireframe render, not including taking a screen shot.

First is setting "Force wire" in "Render" of the render propities

Second is creating a meteral and setting it to wire.

Both methods are hi-lighted in the screen shot i just stuck up with this post.

oooo

Ok, thx for the help on how to render, I was runnin late for work this morning so didn't bother to look up how to render, and I didn't even try to save it as JPG :(

These are the bigger versions, plus a wireframe, I had some trouble with the booleans around the eyes. They made quite a few unnecessary faces and such. This really isn't a model I'm trying to go low poly with for now, I wanna try to make it good enough to animate in a short movie probably. Later on though I would like to put in the "futuristic" version of CS I want to make. If anyone has any ideas on how to make it neater, or on how I could model this easier then feel free to come forward :) Like I said, this is my first model pretty much (deletes the ak47 model file from his computer) that I've done. I'm pretty much just using basic shapes and booleaning them to death. I have also used the line tool and the vertex lock tool to extrude a small peice to use on the glass for my camera between the legs. I'm having trouble finishing cuz I'm not sure what it's sposed to be like on the underneath and what the legs are really sposed to look like.

O, well, i rambled long enough. Please tell me how good, or bad, I'm doing, and give me hints and tutorial sites for easier ways to model.

sorry for the numerous amount of these i'm putting up, just really wanna know how bad i'm doing :(

+NEXT PROJECT IF I DON'T DO HORRID ON THIS ONE

u sholud model all the legs straight ..rig it and then pose it.
these kind of models are kinda complex and extremely difficult to work on if that one pic is ur only ref.
u shudmaybe get some blueprints or draw ur own.
or draw up a concept bot based on the merry maker.

Yes, I am sadly going to have to agree with you. I'm just going to cancel this project, half the shapes and such past a certain point in the leg can't be seen except for on the left hand side front leg. I just don't know what I'm modeling. :(
Well, I will restart  and draw blueprints of a model thats going to be almost completely based on merrymaker.
