Metal Gear Solid 3 for the PC? Could this really be?

i didnt know about it either....but either way, it'll probably be a really poor and very shitty port
 
Well, as long as it doesn't stray away too much from the PS2 version, I'm happy.
 
All the other MGS' have been ported to PC.
Why not 3?
 
The only Metal Gear Solid games I recall on the PC were Integral and Substance, Sons of Liberty or The Twin Snakes weren't on the PC.
 
Well, Intergral and Substance were just the originals with extra bits, so TS is the only one that hasn't been ported.

and Twin Snakes was just an upgraded version of the orginal, better graphics/interface and stuff. So basically every major stable of the mgs trilogy has been ported to the PC.
 
Substance was ported but it was a very poor port. the booklet inside kept refering to the Xbox key lay out and the controls were to complex since the keyboard isn;t analog. Also alot of people had graphical errors
 
Yes, yes , yes and who ****ing cares man, if even I, living in Holland, can buy a crappy 12,- bucks controller that works just fine, who cares about the control sheme on the keybord.

But actually I doubt this, cause mgs3 had the ape escape monkey's in em, and now they are proabbly going to pull that out, and now that we are on the subject of screwing pc owners, why the hell did the mgs substance for x-box and ps2 come with an extra dvd with extra's and the pc version not, I mean what is teh logic in that.

The PC is by far the worst way to play MGS games. Integral was a fairly solid port, but it still didn't play as well as the original on PS1. The port of Substance was terrible, and made one of my favorite games look more like a budget title. If there is a port of MGS3, I can't say I have much confidence that it will be good, stick with the PS2 version if you can.

It's a shame to see what is, in my opinion, the best video game series ever be butchered by extremely sub-standard ports.
 
The port is just sucks because mgs can't be plyed well with a mouse and keyboard, but you can just buy a stupid cheap controller and it play way better. Besides if it is substandard lke the previous one thats cool, cause then it won't sell good and become cheap very early and I will be able to buy it.

I've been playing all my old PS1 games on an emulator lately, and they're just as good. Of course I have a joypad, and the emulator supports the analog controls.

PES4 PC > PES4 PS2

If MGS3 comes out for the PC within 2 months from now I might be interested, any later and i'll have lost interest.
 
This is VERY good news, I really wanted to play MGS3 but don't have a PS2, I hope it isn't a boring port like MGS2:Sub was.

i'm buyin a PS2 jus for this game this saturday, since the port of substance i;ve lost faith in the port of part 3.
 
Not to mention the Sons of Liberty port used 7gb :D

Any chance of a Snake Eater Xbox port?
 
this is half life 2 the most modded game ever why doesnt some one mod it to a mgs3 port or somethin yeh it would take a long tym but it would b worth it.
 
it wud b totally worth teh tym dude hl2 is the most modded, mgs3 is only liek 5 yrs old bye now

Why don't you do it? Create a fancy thread in modding section asking for programmers and modelers. Don't know how to mod? Not a problem! You could be the ideas guy.
