Metal Gear Solid 4 new trailer

Hmmm, pritty good trailer. You need winamp to view it though. Will open in a seperate winamp window. Never been a fan of Metal Gear. But I supose I could catch up after the first one and see how it all plays out :D
 
Great fun as usual, the Vamp vs. Raiden fight seemed slightly homo-erotic.. literally. Overall an interesting trailer for any MGS fan, I can't wait.

lol i thought that too, is that it for mgs4 at e3 though? just this trailer? was kinda disappointed, i want to know about the gameplay although koj will showcase it in tokyo he said in 6 days.
 
Ace fight, even if it was abit 'gay'. Pretty much looking forward to this; just a shame it's a crock PS3 release. Hrm, the colour scheme really annoys me as well. That could certainly grate after a time.
 
I think they will show more

after all there is the 20 aniversarry stuff and other few stuff so problably a longer trailer will be shown
 
Awesome stuff, last year's trailer was better but it's still great game. I wonder who is that black man with XM8, member of the new FOXHOUND maybe?
I don't like Raiden and Vamp in MGS2 but now they look much more cooler.

My guess is he's the 'Young Snake' we've seen in trailers, a new clone.

I must say, the voiceacting really sucks.. I mean I love David Hayter etc, but it doesnt sound like Snake has aged at all, and if you compare for example the Japanese Snake in MGS2 with the one in MGS4, you can hear a distinct difference in how old he sounds.

meryl's detail was really excellent, seems like shes a commander now of the foxhound unit as raiden(in balaclava, if its him) says ''commander'' when meryl goes down, hes the only one not affected it seems, i guess the other guys are new foxhound members, the black dude and the mohawk guy...i want some frickin' gameplay though and for an e3 trailer it didnt have any real cliffhangars in terms of story like past mgs games at e3.
 
I do not think the guy in Balaclava is Raiden, I think it's the 'Young Snake' we've seen in previous trailers, makes more sense considering we've already seen Raiden in the ninja suit twice.
And gameplay will be shown at next TGS when Hideo Kojima the man himself will be playing MGS4.

maybe, but the guy in the balaclava had blonde hair, the young snake from previous trailers has brown but who knows with koj.

You don't even have to wait for TGS late this year for gameplay, just a few more days, at Metal Gear 20th anniversary Party, Kojima himself will be presenting a playable demo, if it wasn't for this anniversary event, he would have shown the demo at E3, there are also rumors he will release this demo later on the PS Network...

Although, all that animation is still using the in-game engine (which looks utterly amazing), so it's probably less work than creating CG specifically for it (i.e. Final Fantasy).
 
It can't be young Snake. Have you guys seen the trailer before the E3? The one that it first introduces younger Snake? His voice from that trailer sounds completely different from this one.

Does anyone have a link to a downloadable version of this trailer? As I said, the one DigiQ8 linked to plays only audio for me.

He doesn't talk, fool. His grumbling voice is completely different from his "voice" from the E3 trailer. By the way, it's not young snake. The guy with balaclava has white hair, young snake does not have white hair. Old snake has white hair. But old snake is not young snake. Therefore, Young snake can't be the soldier.
 
Combine, we all know how much Kojima likes to **** with our minds when it comes to E3 trailers, remember that, atleast you will remember it if you saw MGS2 and MGS3 trailers, all of'em..
So it's hard to know, it might very well be a Young Snake imo.
And the trailer where you hear young snake 'grumble'.. Isn't that in Japanese?:> The actual trailer speech if there even is any innit.
 
He didn't **** our mind with MGS3's trailer. There were few subjects like Raikov = Raiden, time travel paradox poped up after E3 trailer, that's about it. Compared to MGS4, MGS3 was nothing...

As for MGS2, I can't comment on that.

Holy shit... MGS4 demo? That would blow my goddamn mind.
 
By the way, why couldn't a 'Snake' clone be blonde? I seem to recall Liquid Snake being blonde.. I also seem to recall that in the animated videos in original PS1 MGS1(Which I still own in perfect condition), Solid Snake looked almost blonde and with long hair, like Liquid.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this.
 
The first half is annoying... anyone else seeing a trend here? Pretty much all Snake seems to do is walk around and stay hidden in these trailers.

Fight was gay but awesome.

Yeah, he dyed his hair darker before MGS1 begins.

Also, kick ass trailer. Glad to hear English voice actors too. Snake's sounding mad weary and worn.
